Are you new to our church? Coming to a new church for the first time can always be a nervous experience, so that is why we encourage you to plan your visit! Get to know us, what we do. 

 

Faith UCC is a church that is proud of its heritage and its tradition – and is also eagerly looking toward the future as together we discover where God is leading us.

 

We hope you will be able to join us as together we seek to hear our still-speaking God guiding us into those places and to those people where we are most needed.

Pastor

Marilyn Sargent

Born in Iowa and a life-long member of the United Church of Christ, Pastor Marilyn feels very blessed to be serving Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli since 2008.

 

After working in downtown Des Moines for 25 years, she felt God's nudging to ordained ministry and soon found herself in Bangor, ME  where she received her Master of Divinity degree from Bangor Theological Seminary.  

 

While Maine continues to be one of her favorite destination sites, Pastor Marilyn is quite content to be back in Iowa where she's not too far from her mother and her daughter, son-in-law, and two precious granddaughters! 


Pastor Marilyn is typically in the office Monday through Thursday.  Stop in and say hello or call the office at 319.882.3585 and schedule a time to come in and chat.  She would love to visit with you!

Barb Rich

My husband, John, and I live on an acreage in "Smoketown."  We raise a few Friesian horses, Shorthorn cattle, and many ducks, chickens, and barn cats. Between us we have 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren.  My career was in public school finance, ending with 23 years at Cedar Falls Schools as Supervisor of Finance.

 

I began my employment at Faith UCC in December 2015.  I enjoy my work here and have enjoyed meeting many of the members of the congregation.
