Giving

God provides for the ministry of our church through your tithes and offerings and your gifts are honored with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and accountability to our lead team and denomination. It’s more than keeping the lights on and the gears turning; it’s about personal worship to God lives changing through the transformative power of the Gospel in our region and beyond.

"But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this?

Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

Each week we pass among worshippers the traditional offering plate. We ask that each person hold the plate for a moment and place in it a gift for God. Perhaps it is a check. Or cash. Or perhaps a dream...a hope...or a prayer. Through everyone's generosity, when the plates are returned to the altar they are overflowing with gifts for God -- seen and unseen.

For several decades, Faith United Church of Christ has been one of the "5 for 5" UCC congregations in the United States. This designation is reserved for churches that monetarily support each of the United Church of Christ mission offerings -- Our Churches Wider Mission; One Great Hour of Sharing; Neighbors in Need; Strengthen the Church and The Christmas Fund.

2 Corinthians 9:7-8 “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart what to give,
not reluctantly of under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
